Nationwide is a banking and financial services company based in Swindon. Nationwide is today one of the top three providers of household savings and mortgages in the UK. It provides retail banking services, savings and mortgage loans, investment advice, insurance coverage, loans, home insurance, travel insurance and credit card services. Nationwide provides services through 700 branches and their website is nationwide.co.uk.

On their main webpage at the bottom you will see links
to helpful things such as useful phone numbers, finding your nearest branch and sending the company a
message. On their customer service page
customers can see travel warnings or search a particular problem.
The website urges people to try searching their problem first before picking up the telephone. However,
below the search bar customers can find a long list of departments and phone numbers, as well as
opening and closing times.
Calls from landlines are free but calls from mobile devices could be as much as 40 cents per minute.
Also on the website is a helpful tab called “download a leaflet”. This could be helpful if for some
reason you have lost information that you now need. The company also offers you the possibility to
request the leaflet to be sent to you in the mail.
You can of course also find the closest branch to you by typing in your zip code. You can also click the
tab “send a message” if you have a specific problem you need help with. And surprisingly the company
allows customers to make a complaint. To make a complaint the company gives three phone numbers
the customers can call.

Nationwide promises to review the complaint and respond by the end of the next business day. This
may be in the form of a phone call or an email. Regulations force the company to respond within 56
days. Additionally, if you are unhappy with the company’s response, you can ask the Financial
Ombudsman Service to review your complaint and they will make a ruling on your case.
The company claims to have been ranked number one for customer satisfaction on the High Street
since 2011. Data published in 2015 shows a 20% reduction in complaints that Nationwide had received
