More info about
British Airways – also known as BA – is an airline based in the United Kingdom. Founded in 1972 by the government to take on two other airlines, British Airways is today a privatized successful airline. It is part of the Oneworld Alliance alongside American Airways, Cathay Pacific, Qantas, and now Canadian Airlines. Based on fleet size it is the largest airline in the United Kingdom. British Airways’ main base is the London Heathrow Airport. The airline serves over 160 destinations and all six continents.
British airways customer service
British Airways must have good customer service if they want to survive in the competitive world of air travel.
Getting in touch with a British Airways representative to help you is actually very easy. Their website clearly
states emails and phone numbers and how to get in touch with them based on whatever problem you may be
having. Luckily for the user, there is no log-in necessary to get more information on a problem or to find
contact information.
On their website they also offer a list of frequently asked questions to help customers answer any questions they might have about flying.
Not only do they provide online support but they also provide support on the ground. In most large airports
customers can find a British Airways help desk. There they can get help finding bags, re-booking flights or even
changing seat assignments.
With this being said, however, many people seem to be very dissatisfied with British Airways customer service.
Customers report complaints of canceled flights, delayed flights, lost baggage and rude flight attendants. The
Telegraph ranked British Airways number 36 out of 100 worst companies for customer service. This is definitely
something to take into consideration when flying with British Airways.
The company, however, has been quoted saying that quality customer service is its top priority. The company
believes that people are willing to pay a slight premium on price for better service. However, with the airline
being in cooperation with so many other airlines in the Oneworld alliance, providing good customer service can
be a challenge, especially on the ground. Customers complain that it can be hard to figure out simply who to
speak to about a problem.
It must, however, be kept in mind that many of the delays that occur during flight travel are out of the airlines’
hands. Airports can be some of the most frustrating and stressful places. To get the most out of customer service with British Airways, remember to stay calm but firm. Ask for what you want, and remember to be reasonable. Lots of things that happen in airports are not the fault of the airlines.
